idag skall jag berätta om hur min bästa fredags förmiddag skulle ha sett ut.

today i will tell you about what i think is a perfect friday morning.

man vaknar av att solens strålar letar sig in mellan persiennerna och bildar ränder på täcket. man mornar sig lite. sen läser man lula en stund tills man har vaknat och gnuggar morgontårarna ur ögonen.

you wake up early one morning by the sunshine searching its way in between the venetian blind and makes stripes on the quilt. you snooze for a moment. then you sits in the bed, reading lula mag for a while until you begins to stir and rub the morningtears off your eyes.

man klär på sig och går en kort promenad till cafeet som ligger tre kvarter bort. cafeet är döpt efter ägarens kanin och heter hop hop hop. den har en fin blå dörr som du gillar.

you get dressed and walk the short walk to the cafe three blocks away. the cafe is named after the owners rabbit and the name of the cafe is therefor hop hop hop. the door is blue and you like that.

fast helst sitter man ute såklart. solen skiner ju trots allt.

but of course you wants to sit outside. the sun is shining, despite everything.

man hämtar servetter och bestick och dukar för två trots att man bara är ensam. det kan ju komma någon som vill hålla en sällskap och då kan man ju vara förberedd. sen beställer man en kaffe med extra skum och en liten sockerbit i. sen beställer man en till för säkerhetens skull.

you gets napkins and cutlery and lays the table for two despite you are alone. it might come someone walking by who wants to keep you company and if so you are prepared. then you order a coffee with extra foam and a tiny sugarbite in it. then you order another one just in case.

sen läser man brevet man fick dagen innan. igen. och igen och igen. det spelar ingen roll att det är felskickat och på koreanska. och kanske cencurerat en aning i kanterna. för minns ni, det är en perfekt fredags förmiddag trots allt.

then you read the letter that was in your mailbox the day before. again. and again and again. it doesnt matter that it wasnt sent for you and written in korean. and maybe a bit censor. because remember, it is a perfect friday morning after all.

ovan ser ni delar av deras lookbook för hösten. svenskt, minimalistiskt och väldigt the local firm. det fina med de här kläderna är att de passar lika bra till hösten som till våren, väldigt passande med tanke på den rådande lågkonjunkturen. ser ni förresten de fina minimarket skorna jag skrev om igår?

above you see pieces of their a/w -08 lookbook. swedish, minimalistic and very the local firm. one of the best part about this clothes is that they can be worn with pleasure both in autumn and also in spring, very suitable bearing in mind the existing recession. and by the way, do you see the minimarket wedges i wrote about yesterday?

här ser ni mina favoritdelar ur höstens kollektion. randigt. volanger. jeans. melerat. kviltat. simpelt men samtidigt arbetat. det skall helt klar bli spännande att ta del av den kommande vårkollektionen.

here are some of my favourite pieces of the a/w collection. striped. flounces. denim. marbled. quilted. simple but in the same time very well worked. of course i look forward to view their upcoming spring collection.

svenska klädmärket minimarket har gjort en väldigt intressant vårkollektion. antagligen lite miu miu-inspirerad. det jag gillar är främst färgerna och detaljerna. ser ni att den svarta klänningen har fina origamidetaljer?

the swedish label minimarket has made a very interesting spring collection. probably a bit inspired by miu miu. the things i like the most with this collection is the colours and the details. do you see that the black dress has got origamidetails? 

just de här klädslarna ur deras lookbook får mig direkt att tänka på alice i underlandet vilket var väldigt populärt bland många bloggerskor i höstas. samtidigt som kollektionen är fantasifull känns den bred och lyckas pricka in många andra trender vi antagligen kommer se mycket av i vår. som färgerna grönt, blått, rött och rosa. och som huvudbonader för att nämna två.

this outfits from their spring 09 lookbook makes me think about alice in wonderland which was a very popular trend among swedish bloggers this autumn. the collections is imaginative but in the same time broad and seems to succeed hitting a lot of other trends that we probably are going to see more about this spring. like the colours green, blue, red and pink. and like headgears for mentioning two.

dessutom har de designat vårens antagligen mest eftertraktade skor. i likhet med den övriga kollektionen går färgerna blått och grönt igen samtidigt som två andra trender prickas in, nämligen kilklack och dragkedjor.

besides they have designed springs probably most covet shoes. in similarity with the remaining collection we can se the colours blue and green once more just as two other hot trends includes, wedge and zippers.

trots att det kan verka så, går inte hela kollektionen i klara färgblock. jag nämde tidigare att kollektionen känns bred och ovan ser ni en annan inriktning. fortfarande lika välskräddad men med en flickigare attityd. minimarkets signum, den boxiga kjolen, återfinns bland annat i den fina klänningen ovan till höger. det verkar rulla snabbt för minimarket och det med bravur. att lyckas följa upp den blommiga bombarjackan med katt t-shirten och sedan med med bloggvärldens mesta vill ha skor i en limiterad upplaga. ja. jag tror att minimarket på allvar har nått den svenska modeeliten och att de är där för att stanna.

despite it may seems like, the entire collection is not colourblocked. i mentioned earlier that the collection seemed broad and look above and you see what i ment. the direction is different. still well-tailored but with a more girlier attitude. the minimarket hallmark is the boxy skirt which you recover in the dress right above. it seems to spin fast for minimarket and that with a dash. to succeed follow-up the floral bomberjacket with the cat t-shirt and then with the autumns most-must-have shoes in limited edition is admirable. well. i think minimarket has reached the top and is there to stay.

hej vänner. visste ni att dirrty glam har en väldigt fin hemsida. en hemsida där man kan titta på ett pdf format av tidningen och om man kan franska kan man läsa lite också om man känner för det.

härom dagen köpte jag en mycket fin bustier men när jag kom hem var den alldeles för stor. hur det nu gick till. så idag var jag och lämnade tillbaka den. fint att spara lite pengar tänkte jag. ja, väldigt fint. med tanke på att jag kom hem med ett par svarta haremsbyxor istället. men hey, sådant är livet.

the other day i bought a very nice corset but when i came home it was to big. how ever that might have happened. so today i was returning it. nice to save some money i thought. yes, very nice. bearing in mind that i came home with a hot pair of harem trousers instead. but hey, thats life right.

chanels vårkampanj är nog min favorit i år. så mycket bättre än louis vuittons kampanj som frontas av en skrevande mutant i 50-års åldern.

the chanel s/s ad campaign is probably my favourite this year. so much better than the louis vuitton ditto that fronts by a crutching mutant in her 50´s.

det har varit en del hemlighetsmakeri kring vem som skulle få det ärofyllda uppdraget och veteranen sasha pivovarova var länge en av de tänkbara kandidaterna. dock blev det den yngre heidi mount som gjorde resort 2008 samt både öppnade och stängde vår -09 rtw visningen för chanels räkning. kampanjen fotades hemma hos karl lagerfeld som verkar ha en ny musa i heidi mount och jag kan inte annat än att älska det. vad tycker ni?

it has been a lot of secretive making about this ad. some people thought that sasha pivovarova finally would sign the contract but it wasnt her but her younger colleague heidi mount that made it in the end. this is not the first time she is under contract with chanel then she did the resort 2008 and both opened and closet the spring -09 rtw show. this ad was shooted in karl lagerfelds home and i think he sees heidi mount as his new muse. i just cant do nothing else than love it. what do you think?

härom dagen beställde jag en fin ärmlös kavaj från topshop. igår kom den med posten. så här ser den ut på.

a few days ago i ordered a smart, sleeveless coat from topshop. yesterday it came with the mail. this is how it looks on.

fin va. förutom kavajen har jag på mig en tröja och en kjol från weekday, en halsduk från monki och skor från vagabond.

samma ärofyllda uppdrag (omslaget) gick i september till mary-kate olsen. känner ni som jag för en kik bakom kulisserna gör ni det här.

vad de här båda omslagen har gemensamt är inte bara att två av vår tids stora stilikoner pryder dem, snarare att de är utformade som de är. designen är avskalad på ett sätt som framhäver personen som skall sälja nummret. reklamloggorna är borttagna vilket för mig gör det hela mer spännande. man vet inte vad man får men man anar att innehållet håller hög nivå. att det är bra.

jämför sedan omslaget ovan med det här. samma nummer. samma mary-kate. annat omslag. svaret är att elle uk har gjort en rejäl uppryckning den senaste tiden och satsar hårt på sina mest trogna läsare. stilrena omslag är numera förbehållna prenumeranter och ger oundvikligt lösnumren en retro touch vid första anblick. bra eller dåligt kan jag inte avgöra, bara gissa mig till. antagligen en smart affärside. kanske lösnummrenas oundikliga död. vad resultatet av detta blir återstår att se.

the two covers have more in common than just being adorn by two of the biggest fashion icons of our time. the design is different from other magazines. it is more stylish and brings out the persons that is suppose to sell the issue. the sneak-a-peak lines are gone and that makes it much more interesting to me. you dont know what you get, only that its probably good.

compare the mary-kate cover with this one. the same issue. the same mary-kate. but another cover. the answer is that elle uk lately has been doing a make-over to benefit their most faithful readers. stylish cover is now something exclusive for subscriptioners only and gives the single copys a unavoidable retro touch. i dont know if that is something good or something bad, i can only guess. probably a smart business concept. maybe the death of the single copy issues. what the results shows is something that remains to see.
