jag tycker väldigt mycket om de här illustrationerna. så uttrycksfulla, tragiska och på något sätt känns det som om man tittar tillbaka på något gammal och bortglömt. på något som man kanske inte borde se.

jag tycker väldigt mycket om världskartor också såklart. speciellt de som innehåller lite färg och inte bara pergament-och sepiatoner. jag skulle vilja ha allihopa, rama in dem i svarta ramar och sätta upp dem på en vit vägg allihopa.
i do not only like maps of the northern sky or mountains and rivers, i also like world maps. especially those who are painted in different colours. i would like to buy them all, frame them and put them up all together on a white wall.

en sak som jag är ledsen över är att jag missade walton ford som ställde ut på louisiana för ett tag sedan. visst, picassoutställningen var jättebra men det är sådan här som jag gillar mest. walton ford gör djur i naturlig storlek, ofta kämpar de mot varandra och befinner sig i en onaturlig miljö. de är så otroligt detaljrika. det blir ju nästan som att kika in i en annan, kolonial, värld.
i really liked the picasso exhibition at louisiana but im sorry i missed walton ford who exhibited his paintings there a while ago. he paints actual size animals, not seldom they are fighting or attacking each other and they always seem to be in a, for them, unnatural environment. the paintings are incredible detailed. it almost feels like you are peeking in to another, colonial, world.
